I'm someone who likes to make a plan of action to get things done on my day off, or even on the weekend. I slowly collect ideas and build an ultimate to-do list which features everything I want to accomplish on that day. It's generally a long list, but I think that I can get it all done and it will be a success. Even if I only get half of it done I think to myself that I still would be productive. I go to bed thinking about how proud I will be of my very productive day.
So I wake up and it's like 12 midday and I realise what has happened... again. I've dismissed my alarm multiple times throughout the morning and I only figure this out during random blurred visions later that day. I go into a sulk, end up not doing anything on the list and spend the day watching TV and being grumpy.
Well that was before I was introduced to the world of better alarm clocks. They are often described as annoying by the masses, but I prefer effective.
We have the puzzle alarm clock:
Pretty self-explanatory.
We have Clocky:
Who rolls around your bedroom until you catch him and shut him up!
And we have the one I use, the helicopter alarm clock:
I use this simply because it was really cheap when I got it, and my bedroom is messy enough that it takes a while to find it.
So what do you guys use to wake you up in the morning? Would you ever consider a more extreme alarm clock?
I think I'd end up smashing the thing, I suppose it'd get me up haha.
ReplyDeletehahaha nice alarm clocks
ReplyDeleteSweet alarm clocks bro ;D
ReplyDeleteinteresting alarm clocks
ReplyDeleteSince the second and the third may have a slight chance of hitting me or me stepping on them, I choose the first one.
ReplyDeleteI really need something like that.
ReplyDeleteI would have to use the helicopter alarm clock. It's just simply to messy around here for the Clocky to work.
ReplyDeleteHahaha sadistic :P
ReplyDeleteHah, really like the helicopter idea. These remind me of the Gun'O'Clock if you've ever seen that.
ReplyDeletethat first paragraph is exactly me. personally I just move my phone far enough away that I have to get up to turn it off. at that point im awake enough to force myself not to sleep.
ReplyDeleteIf I could find one of these I probably would buy it. Though the fiancée might not like it...
ReplyDeleteSeen these ate the local "lol-tech"-ish store. Would probably be my solution once I have to get up by myself.
ReplyDeleteI want clocky! :p
ReplyDeleteI like clock the most!
ReplyDeleteI use my cellphone alarm and it is effective. not always, but yeah. I've seen Clocky to sell at a store once but I didn't know what it does. Amazing! hahah
ReplyDeleteI've wanted a clocky for a while. though i'm afraid i'd either lose it or break it.
ReplyDeleteI think the puzzle would be the most effective for me. I'd rage if I lost a piece though.
ReplyDeletethese would all make great investments
ReplyDeletehahah nice alarms
ReplyDeletehahaha i laughed pretty hard at "clocky". i can just picture myself squinting around my room blindly tring to catch him still half asleep haha, good past man
ReplyDeleteI make sure my girlfriend has coffee ready if she wants me to wake up at a reasonable hour. lol
ReplyDeletehahaha! this is awesome. im exactly like you i plan and all and then i wake up at a crappy time and it all goes down the drain! i use my phone as an alarm clock but those alarm clocks are pretty handy and would work a lot better!
ReplyDeletelol, I bought my brother a clocky for christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have a tiger that is trained to jump into the pool beneath my bed, so the splash of water can wake me up. He does that at around 7am, 1hr before work
ReplyDeleteI use my cellphone and some very loud music on my stereo to wake up, I need it, I'm a deep sleeper ;)
ReplyDeletelol nice alarm clocks, and yeah i would probably need something like that.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking how cool would it be for a portal turret alarm clock
ReplyDeleteGot that last one ;)
ReplyDeleteAWesome and creative :)
ReplyDeleteI would have all of those clocks broken really fast.
ReplyDeleteI really like the helicopter one. that looks really cool.
ReplyDeleteI use my cell phone... it could die in the middle of the night and not work in the morning. I need one of these.
ReplyDeleteI seriously need one of those.
ReplyDeleteYeah these wouldn't last long in my house. I'm grumpy in the morning.
ReplyDeletefirst of all, these are very clever. but i would smash the shit out of them all. but really i would just sleep late like you did, but make the most out of what remained of my day off. i very rarely just sit around doing nothing, like ever.

I use onlineclock.net personally. My desktop's sound system is ridiculously loud, so it works wonders. I've actually woken my neighbors with it - oops!
ReplyDeleteI would love to own a combination of all 3 of those alarm clocks though.. 3 propellers which fly away - that have a different shaped base so you can only put them into their proper spots - and of course the base of the alarm clock rolls around. Now that would have you working.
yea i love my alarm clock. its at the point where im so used to it that i actually wake up a few minutes before it my body is so used to it
ReplyDeleteI must have one of these
ReplyDeleteIm gonna check it out for sure!
ReplyDeleteHelicopter one looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteman i set like 4 alarms on my phone within 5 mins of eachother
ReplyDeletemy mate had the flying one... I think it's needless to say that when we were at his place, the clock rang every minute :D
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome but they would drive me crazy!
